British Reclaiming Spring Gathering March 2009
Join us in Totnes Devon for a weekend of magic, celebrating the Spring Equinox and strengthening our connection to the Earth, as she stirs and reawakens. All welcome.
Saturday March 21st, 10am to 7pm, Dartington Village Hall: Ritual, workshops, community meeting, marketplace, feasting together and more.
Sunday March 22nd, 10am to 3pm, Landmatters Permaculture Project, Allaleigh: Guided tour, Spring Equinox ritual, shared lunch.
Saturday March 21st, 10am to 6.30pm, Dartington Village Hall: Ritual, workshops, discussions, community meeting, drumming, marketplace, feasting together and more.
Arrive 10am for tea/coffee, 10.30am start. Wear warm clothes, as village halls can be slow to warm up on chilly days. Bring drums if you like to drum, items for altar if you wish, craft/witchy items to sell in lunchtime marketplace, food and drink to share at lunchtime (hot drinks provided).
Also bring a small compostable object symbolising what you hope to ‘hatch’ from the Gathering, to put into our communal nest for the weekend, a few spring flowers, and a small empty bottle.
Disability access not bad, just a couple of steps at front which would need help.
This day is not really suitable for children.
Directions: Bus: X80 leaves Seven Stars 10am, Totnes Station 10.02, arr Shinners Bridge roundabout 10.06.
Car: From Totnes head to Dartington. At large roundabout take first exit, and the village hall is a few doors up on the right. Parking is available at the side of the hall.
Suggested contribution: £10 waged, £5 low waged, free if you’re totally broke. 10% discount for Totnes Pounds
Sunday March 22nd, 10.30am to 3pm, Landmatters Permaculture Co-operative, Allaleigh: Guided tour, Spring Equinox ritual, shared lunch.
Wear warm and weatherproof clothes and boots as we will be working outside if possible.
Bring food and drink to share at lunchtime, hot drinks provided.
Supervised children welcome.
Transport. Landmatters have a strict car-share policy and very limited parking, so single occupant cars are not welcome. Sadly no buses on Sundays. Please car share if you are coming from outside Totnes, or a minibus will pick people up from outside Totnes train station (other side from ticket office) at 10am, returning at 3pm. If you can offer or need a lift, also come to the station at this time, or contact Andy.
Disability access can be arranged if it’s not too muddy, as Landmatters have a Landrover which could take people and wheelchairs right to the top of the hill. Contact Sylvia to discuss.
Suggested contribution: £10 waged, £5 low waged, free if you’re totally broke. 10% discount for Totnes Pounds.
Note: in line with usual Reclaiming practice, both days will be alcohol and drug free.
